The University of Nairobi (UoN) is the oldest and largest university in Kenya. It was founded in 1956 as the Royal Technical College, Nairobi, and later renamed University College, Nairobi in 1961. It became an independent university in 1970. The university is located in the capital city of Nairobi and has nine campuses. Moi University is a public university located in Eldoret, Kenya. It was established in 1984 by the Moi University Act of Parliament, No. 15 of 1984. Moi University has grown remarkably from its humble beginnings, with just 83 students in 1984.
