Overview

The University of Nairobi is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical schools in East Africa. The school is on the university’s main campus in Nairobi, Kenya. It offers a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree, a six-year program. The program’s first two years are spent in the pre-clinical sciences, while the last four years are spent in the clinical sciences.

Some postgraduate programs including a Master of Medicine (MMed), a Master of Science (MSc), and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). The school is accredited by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) and the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). It is also an Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) member.
