The Kenyatta University School of Medicine was founded in August 2004, primarily focusing on Health Research, Capacity Building, and Product Development. Over the years, it has experienced significant growth and expansion, leading to the creation of specialized Public Health, Pharmacy, and Nursing schools. The School has played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Kenyatta University Hospital, a modern 600-bed facility.

The School actively engages in collaborations with local and international organizations, including public and private hospitals, mission hospitals, and esteemed institutions such as Aga Khan University, Makerere University, Nagasaki University, and more. School of Medicine excels in advancing healthcare in Kenya.
