The University of Ibadan School of Medicine (UISM) is the oldest and most prestigious medical school in Nigeria. It was founded in 1948 and has produced some of the country’s most distinguished doctors and scientists. The UISM is committed to training highly skilled and compassionate doctors who are able to meet the needs of the Nigerian people.
The UISM curriculum is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the basic and clinical sciences, as well as to prepare them for the realities of practicing medicine in a developing country. UISM is accredited by the following organizations: Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), West African College of Surgeons (WACS) and African Federation of Medical Schools.
