The University of Ghana School of Medicine offers a 6-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program that is accredited by the Ghana Medical Council and the World Health Organization. The school has a solid academic reputation and is consistently ranked among the top medical schools in Africa. It has a well-equipped teaching hospital, the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, which provides students with clinical training.
The requirements for admission to the School of Medicine at the University of Ghana are: A minimum of 6 A1s or A/Bs in WASSCE or SSSCE, A good performance in the science subjects, An interview and/or entrance examination.
