The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is the oldest and most prestigious university in Tanzania. It is located in the city of Dar es Salaam, the country’s largest city and commercial capital. UDSM was founded in 1961 and has since grown to become a leading university in Africa. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a variety of fields, including agriculture, business, engineering, law, medicine, and the social sciences.
UDSM has a student body of over 40,000 students and a faculty of over 2,000 lecturers. The university is also home to a number of research centers and institutes, which focus on areas such as climate change, HIV/AIDS, and sustainable development.
