Overview

Uganda Martyrs University School of Medicine (UMUSOM), whose official name is Mother Kevin Postgraduate Medical School, is the school of medicine of Uganda Martyrs University (UMU). It was established in 2010 and is the newest medical school in Uganda. UMUSOM offers postgraduate medical education in the disciplines of Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology, and Emergency Medicine. The University is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church and is owned by the Episcopal Conference of the Catholic Bishops of Uganda. UMUSOM is accredited by the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC). Graduates are eligible to practice medicine in Uganda and in other countries that recognize UMDPC accreditation.
