Overview

The inception of the College of Health Sciences (CHS) in 2009/10 marked a pivotal moment within Addis Ababa University (AAU), consolidating various health institutions into a unified entity. Comprising four distinguished schools alongside a teaching hospital – Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Allied Health Sciences – the CHS stands as a hub for professional education at both undergraduate and postgraduate tiers.

Presently, the college boasts a thriving community, with an enrollment surpassing 5000 students and a faculty body exceeding 600 full-time members. Accredited by esteemed bodies such as the Ministry of Education Ethiopia, the Association of African Universities, and the World Health Organization, AAU upholds rigorous academic standards and global recognition.
