The Nouakchott University School of Medicine (N’USOM) is a medical school in Mauritania. It was established in 2006 as part of the University of Nouakchott Al Aasriya and offers a six-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree program. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the primary and clinical sciences and the skills and knowledge necessary to practice medicine in Mauritania and other developing countries. The N’USOM is accredited by the Mauritanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS).
