Misurata University was established in 1976 and is located in the city of Misurata. The school offers a 6-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program that is accredited by the Libyan Ministry of Higher Education and the World Health Organization. The school is accredited by the Libyan Ministry of Higher Education. The curriculum is based on the American system and includes courses in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, microbiology, and clinical medicine.
Misurata University, the school is currently undergoing a number of reforms, including the introduction of new courses, the improvement of the teaching facilities, and the strengthening of the research capacity.
