The Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS) is one of the four distinguished schools at the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST), commencing its operations in March 2017. The Biological Sciences department is designed to cater to undergraduate courses with significant medical and environmental implications. Plans include the introduction of a degree program in Laboratory Management, responding to the growing need for skilled laboratory managers in the healthcare sector.
The Clinical Sciences department serves a pivotal role by hosting the teaching hospital for the university. Its focus is primarily on postgraduate courses, such as the MMed in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), designed to enhance specialized medical training and expertise.
