The Makerere University School of Medicine (MUSOM) is one of Africa’s oldest and most prestigious medical schools. It was founded in 1924 and has since produced thousands of doctors who have served Uganda and the rest of the world with distinction. MUSOM is a thriving medical education, research, and patient care centre. It offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and other health-related disciplines.
The school also has several research centres. Makerere University School of Medicine is a highly-ranked medical school, both nationally and internationally. It is ranked #1 in Uganda and #107 in Africa by the QS World University Rankings 2023.
