The Lurio University School of Medicine (LUSM) is a relatively new medical school, having been founded in 2007. LUSM is accredited by the following organizations: Mozambique Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology and African Federation of Medical Schools. LUSM places a significant emphasis on community medicine and public health, addressing a critical need in Mozambique for healthcare professionals capable of delivering primary care services to rural communities. One notable advantage of LUSM is its relatively low tuition fees, which make it a more affordable choice for students hailing from low-income families.
Additionally, LUSM boasts a commendable graduation rate, with over 90% of its students successfully completing their studies within a six-year timeframe.
