Hope Africa University was accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB). The school is located on the main campus of Hope Africa University in Bujumbura, Burundi. Over 2,000 students are enrolled at the university overall. More than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs are available through the university.

The university has an 80% graduation rate. Alums from the university hold positions in various industries, including medicine, teaching, business, and government. Voice of Hope, a radio station owned by the university, plays Christian programming. Hope Africa University is affordable, making it a good option for students from low-income families.
