Bahir Dar University is one of Ethiopia’s oldest and most established medical schools. The pre-clinical phase of the program covers the basic sciences, such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and pharmacology. The clinical phase of the program covers clinical disciplines, such as medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, and psychiatry. The School of Medicine Department has a strong faculty and a state-of-the-art infrastructure. The faculty comprises experienced and qualified lecturers and has a well-equipped teaching hospital.
