Overview

The School of Medicine at Al-Azhar University is one of Egypt’s oldest and most prestigious medical schools. It was founded in 1964 in the El-Gamhoria district of Cairo. The school offers a 6-year MBBS program that leads to the Doctor of Medicine degree. Al-Azhar University is accredited by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and the World Health Organization. The school is also a member of the Association of Medical Schools in the Middle East and North Africa (AMMENA).

The school’s curriculum includes courses on Islamic law and ethics and studies on traditional Islamic medicine. Highly qualified faculty and offers a modern curriculum that is based on the latest medical advances.
