The School of Medicine at Africa University is a leading medical school in Zimbabwe and Africa. It was founded in 1993 and offers a Doctor of Medicine (MBBS) degree program. The school has a strong focus on primary care and community health, and its graduates are trained to work in a variety of settings, including rural and underserved areas.
The Department of Basic Medical Sciences teaches students the fundamental sciences that underlie medicine, such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and pharmacology. The Department of Clinical Sciences teaches students about the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, as well as clinical skills such as physical examination and history taking.
