The University of Bamenda (UBa) is a public university in Cameroon, located in the city of Bamenda, the capital of the Northwest Region. It was founded in 2010 and is one of the eight state universities in Cameroon. UBa is an Anglo-Saxon university, meaning that English is the primary language of instruction. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the arts, humanities, sciences, and technology.
The university has a student population of over 10,000 and a faculty and staff of over 500. It is also home to a number of research centers and institutes, including the Centre for Environmental Studies and the Institute for Development Studies.
