The school of medicine is located in Tamale, the Northern Region of Ghana. The school offers a 6-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) program that leads to the award of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree. The University for Development Studies Ghana is accredited by the National Accreditation Board of Ghana. The National Accreditation Board is the highest body in Ghana that is responsible for the accreditation of educational institutions.
The annual report for the School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) covers the academic year from August 2018 to July 2019. During this period, the school was actively engaged in various activities, including teaching and research conducted by its senior members.
